Chris and Kate Daniel have played music together for 41 years and more than 1,000 gigs. They lead Mystic Station with two distinctive lead voices and Chris on bass.
They work with a rotating group of guitarists and drummers, with up to three horn players available for larger shows. The lineup is chosen to suit each event.
Choose a smaller group for an intimate setting or add a full rhythm section and horns for a bigger sound.

Kate Daniel
A classically trained vocalist, Kate has performed at the Carmel Bach Festival. She has sung the National Anthem at Veterans Day ceremonies, sporting events and community gatherings, including at Oracle Park before a crowd of 40,000.
Bass & lead vocals
Chris Daniel
Chris studied music at Monterey Peninsula College and the Musicians Institute in Hollywood in the early 1980s. He also studied bass with Grammy-nominated musician Dennis Murphy. He plays bass and sings lead with Mystic Station.

Firefly · Moondance · Mystic Station
A lifetime of music. A new chapter.
Chris and Kate formed Firefly in 2005. The group performed around the Monterey Bay area through 2022, playing rock, blues and dance favorites.
In 2023, they joined Moondance, founded in Saratoga in 1976 by guitarist, bassist and vocalist Rich Haggett. During its long run, Moondance performed more than 1,000 shows in five countries. Its horn section featured Steve Knapp on baritone saxophone and Lester (Les) Pierce on tenor saxophone, known as the Atomic Horns, joined by Bobby Netzly on trumpet.
